What Data We Collect
When you use the SEO Audit Tool, we collect:
- Information you provide: Business name or Google Maps link, city/state, primary service, target keyword, and (optionally) your name and email address.
- Automatically collected: Your IP address and browser user agent string, for rate limiting and security purposes only.
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The only cookie we set is a CSRF security token required for form submission.
How We Use Your Data
- Audit processing: Your business information is used to look up your Google Business Profile and generate your audit report.
- Email delivery: If you provide your email to unlock the full report, we send you a single transactional email containing your report link. We do not add you to any marketing list.
- Aggregate benchmarks: Audit scores are aggregated anonymously (by niche and region) to build industry benchmark data. No personally identifiable information is included in benchmarks.
- Security: IP addresses are used for rate limiting and abuse prevention. They are automatically purged from audit records after 30 days.
How We Protect Your Data
- Email addresses are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption.
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
- Database access is restricted to the application with least-privilege credentials.
- We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to any third party.
Data Retention
- Audit reports: Retained indefinitely so you can access your report link at any time.
- Email addresses: Retained until you request deletion.
- IP addresses: Purged from audit records after 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Delete your data (right to erasure). Email [email protected] with your email address and we will delete all associated records within 30 days.
- Unsubscribe from any emails via the unsubscribe link in every email we send.
- Object to processing of your data for any purpose beyond the audit report you requested.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, these rights are guaranteed under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are in California, these rights are guaranteed under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

- Google Maps: We query Google Maps to retrieve publicly available business profile data.
- Cloudflare: Our website is served through Cloudflare for security and performance. Cloudflare may process your IP address under their own privacy policy.
- Gmail SMTP: Emails are sent via Gmail's SMTP servers.
We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking third-party services.
Children's Privacy
This tool is not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
